The Namoradeiras form part of a wider urban project for the rehabilitation of the seafront between Esmoriz and Cortegaça. Ten are planned, though four have been built so far. They are there to shelter anyone who wants to stop, to look, to watch the sea and to court…
From one you can see the next, and so on, punctuating the route along the coast.
They draw on the Palheiros, the old timber structures that once housed the fishermen, and on the small boats built there in an elementary way. The same materials, colours and constructive simplicity are used.

As Namoradeiras surgem no âmbito de um projeto urbano mais alargado para a reabilitação da Frente de mar entre Esmoriz e Cortegaça. Estão previstas dez embora neste momento tenham sido construídas quatro. Servem para albergar pessoas que queiram parar, olhar, ver o mar e namorar…
De uma vê-se a outra, e assim sucessivamente pontuando o percurso ao longo da costa.
Inspiram-se nos Palheiros, antigas construções em madeira que serviam de habitação aos pescadores e também nas pequenas embarcações ali construídas de forma elementar. Recorre-se aos mesmos materiais, cores e simplicidade construtiva.
